Hypnotherapy for Insomnia

A survey of the nation’s sleep habits carried out by the Mental Health Foundation found that 30% of people in the UK are severely sleep-deprived.

Sleep is such an essential part of our lives, good sleep means we can make the most of our waking hours. Poor sleep can start to really affect our health, our ability to retain information, and our ability to control our emotions. Hypnotherapy can be very effective in helping re-train our mind into better healthier sleep habits. Helping you get that much-needed sleep, so your body gets a chance to restore and your mind gets a chance to process. Getting good sleep is as important as getting exercise and eating healthily.

We all go through times in our lives when our sleep gets disrupted, maybe by children, maybe by pain or illness, maybe a stress-full is situation keeping you up at night, but your body is still behaving this way even after that stressful situation has been resolved. Something along the way has told our subconscious that staying awake is more important than sleeping, and despite our best efforts we just can't seem to change it. A Hypnotherapist can help your mind and body to reach a state of natural and deep relaxation. Whilst this alone can be a wonderful experience in itself and can often make you feel like you have had a good nights sleep, it is also a state of mind in which your subconscious is more open to suggestion. The Hypnotherapist will work with you in this state to help change the old unwanted patterns that had got stuck there. Guiding you to focus on and create the new healthy sleep patterns you so desire. Convincing your subconscious that this is in fact what you need, and so setting up new patterns that will help you sleep soundly.
